Using the vast archive of photographic imagery available online, this project addresses the constructs of identity and image. Searching “happy woman” on Google Image, I find common themes in the photographic archive and then reenact the reenactments of the happy women in the images. I then manipulate them with Photoshop to create compositions that respond to the “happy woman” images.
